We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Curriculum Leader of Technology to join our fantastic team at MEA Central

This is a permanent post, to start in September 2026. This role attracts a TLR2.1 allowance - £3,527 per annum.

We’re looking for:

  • MEA Central is seeking to appoint a passionate and committed Assistant Curriculum Leader of Technology to join our forward‑thinking and supportive team.
  • This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious practitioner who is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey while continuing to deliver high‑quality classroom teaching.

Main purpose of the job:

  • As Assistant Curriculum Leader of Technology, you will play a key role in supporting the Curriculum Leader to shape, deliver and continuously improve the Technology curriculum, with a particular focus on Food Technology or Textiles.
  • You will combine strong subject knowledge with a collaborative approach to leadership and a genuine commitment to raising standards for all learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Curriculum Leader in the strategic planning, development and evaluation of the Technology curriculum
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and assessment across the department
  • Lead on aspects of curriculum development within your specialism (Food or Textiles)
  • Model outstanding classroom practice and support colleagues through coaching and shared practice
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to interventions that ensure all learners achieve their potential
  • Play an active role in departmental self‑evaluation and improvement planning
