Your Role

Are you an ambitious, creative Year 1 teacher who inspires pupils to Aspire Believe Achieve? We are seeking a motivated teacher to join our friendly, inclusive school for a one year maternity cover (Wednesday - Friday). You will deliver a knowledge-rich Year 1 curriculum, lead high-quality continuous provision and support reading, phonics and maths fluency for all pupils.

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach Year 1 (WednesdayFriday) to secure excellent progress and strong outcomes.
  • Plan, teach and evaluate continuous provision with clear learning intentions linked to Year 1 objectives.
  • Deliver systematic synthetic phonics and support early reading and number fluency.
  • Use formative assessment from taught sessions and provision observations to personalise next steps.
  • Maintain positive behaviour, consistent routines and effective deployment of support staff.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents and colleagues and contribute to the Year 1 team.
