Post Title: Caretaker Responsible to: Headteacher Location: St. Ethelbert’s RCP, Bolton Salary: Grade 3 SCP 56 Actual Salary £18,461 - £18,754 (£25,583- £25,989 FTE) Term of Contract: Permanent Working pattern: Monday-Friday (7am 11am 4pm-6pm) Term Time Only + 10 days Hours per week: 30 Start date: ASAP Closing date: 11th May 2026 St. Ethelbert’s RC Primary School is currently seeking a Caretaker. St. Ethelbert’s RC Primary School is a caring, supportive community, part of the St Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Multi Academy Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of the school building and its grounds, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and a safe environment for all its users. Our caretaker is responsible for opening and closing the school site each day and providing out of hours emergency access if necessary. We are looking for someone who can undertake minor repairs and maintenance, as well as keep accurate records, both written and digital.
