We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Pastoral Leader to join our fantastic team at CHS South. This is a Grade 4, permanent full time post working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 1 week. The starting salary is £26,403 and the pro-rata is £22,710. Main purpose of the job: All school staff are expected to share the Trust’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Specific safeguarding responsibilities are detailed in the attached job description. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age. They should demonstrate an understanding of the role of support staff and other professionals who work to help students reach their potential. They should establish and maintain a high profile across the school using a range of proactive strategies to support positive behaviour and implement effective sanctions as appropriate, and be able to provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress, achievement, behaviour, attendance and welfare.
