PartTime KS2 Teacher plus SENDCO (0.6 contract 3 days plus TLR2)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed parttime (0.6) Key Stage 2 teacher with SENDCo responsibility to join our dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about delivering highquality teaching and who is dedicated to ensuring that every child, particularly those with additional needs or vulnerabilities, is supported to thrive academically, socially and spiritually. The successful candidate will play a key strategic role in leading inclusion across the school, supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)and ensuring high-quality provision for all learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver highquality teaching and learning in Key Stage 2 in line with the National Curriculum
  • Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that supports all pupils
  • Assess, monitor and track pupils’ progress to inform teaching and support next steps
  • Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues and governors
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for children

SENDCo Leadership

  • Lead and manage the school’s provision for pupils with SEND in line with statutory requirements and be a committed member of the school’s Senior Leadership Team.
  • Coordinate the identification, assessment and support for pupils with additional needs following the school’s SEND policy.
  • Maintain and monitor the SEND register and costed provision mapping.
  • Coordinate and lead Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) applications and annual reviews.
  • Work collaboratively with external professionals including educational psychologists, therapists and local authority services.
  • Provide guidance, training and support to staff to ensure effective inclusive practice in classrooms.

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Nasenco or NPQSEND qualification (attained/working towards)
  • Experience of teaching in Key Stage 2
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective classroom practice
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A warm, caring and positive approach with high expectations for all pupils
  • Is committed to inclusive education and high expectations for all pupils.
  • Has experience supporting pupils with SEND and vulnerable learners.
  • Has strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
  • Is committed to supporting the Christian ethos of the school.
