Head of Year (Non-Teaching) | Newhouse Academy

If you have the character and personality to inspire our students and get them excited about their future; this is a great opportunity to join our dedicated and supportive pastoral team.

Newhouse Academy is looking for a Non-teaching Head of Year who is, as we describe, one of “Our People”.

  • We aren't just colleagues; we’re a community. We look out for one another, share the load, and celebrate the wins together.
  • Focus on student wellbeing and achievement. You provide the stability and guidance they need to succeed.
  • We appoint on character over talent alone, believing that we can always learn new skills.

The improvements made by the academy in recent times have been achieved by working together towards our vision and by looking after our biggest asset, our staff.

We offer:

  • Membership of the Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF).
  • Funded CPD for nationally recognised qualifications.
  • Employee coaching and mentoring programmes.
  • An optional package of health benefits from Simply Health which includes; GP appointments, money back for eye tests, prescriptions and more.
  • Free use of brand new gym facilities.
  • Staff activities, including a Wellbeing Café.
  • Access to register for blue light discount.
  • Free staff car parking.

We openly encourage you to make an appointment to come in and have a look round. The Headteacher, Alex Burnham, is more than willing to meet you and talk through our journey and the vision for the future.
