The Vacancy

The Trustees and Head Teacher of the school are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, committed and reflective Nursery Class Teacher to join our supportive and hardworking team from 1st September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning and making a real difference to children’s lives.

Lever Edge Primary Academy is a large two form entry primary school, with two nurseries a sports hall, a SEND unit and a forest school.

The Person required for the post

The post is suitable for a teacher who:

  • Has enthusiasm for creative learning and teaching
  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations of themselves and their pupils
  • Has a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
  • Has good communication skills and building positive relationships with pupils and parents
  • Has experience of working proactively and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Experience of teaching in EYFS
