Salary: MPS (£32,919) UPS (£51,048) (+ TLR2a Depending on Experience)

St Chad’s RC Primary School is a welcoming and inclusive one-form entry Catholic school, where every child is valued and supported to achieve their full potential.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and committed class teacher to join our dedicated team from September 2026. There is an opportunity for a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR2a) for leading Key Stage 1 and Early Reading for a suitably experienced candidate.

The successful candidate will have experience of teaching in Key Stage 1 and a strong understanding of early reading, including the leadership of a phonics programme (such as RWI or similar). Experience of continuous provision in Key Stage 1 is essential.

• Is committed to supporting and promoting the Catholic ethos of the school
• Has high expectations of achievement, behaviour and inclusion
• Demonstrates strong classroom practice and effective pedagogy
• Has experience of teaching in Key Stage 1
• Has a strong understanding of early reading and phonics (RWI or similar)
• Can support and develop high-quality continuous provision in Key Stage 1
• Works well as part of a collaborative and supportive team
• Is a reflective practitioner committed to professional development
