Teaching Assistant Level 2

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing consistent, tailored support in line with Individual Learning and Behaviour Plans
• Supporting the pupil’s emotional regulation and wellbeing throughout the school day
• Implementing trauma-informed and restorative approaches to promote positive behaviour
• Working closely with teaching staff, SENCo, and external professionals
• Encouraging engagement, independence, and confidence in learning
  

We are looking for someone who has experience of:

• Trauma-informed practice and restorative approaches
• Supporting children who experience challenges in:
  • Communication and interaction
  • Social and emotional wellbeing
  • Concentration and engagement
  • Emotional dysregulation
  • Adverse Childhood experiences
  • Supporting children with ADHD and Autism
    

Applicants should have:

• Excellent behaviour management skills, including the use of positive reinforcement and constructive feedback
• Good English, Maths and IT skills
• Experience of working on an alternative curriculum
• Experience of effectively feeding back to the class teacher regarding children’s progress

• Work effectively as part of a team
