Finance and Business Manager - Maternity Cover - Fixed Term

36.25 hours per week, 8.00am 4.00pm Full Time Full Year

Salary: negotiable for a suitably qualified candidate with relevant educational experience

We are seeking a highly organised and strategic Finance and Business Manager to lead the financial management of the school during the maternity leave of the current postholder. In this key role, you will report directly to the Headteacher and play a central role in financial planning, budgeting, and monitoring, ensuring resources are deployed efficiently.

The successful candidate will be a confident and knowledgeable professional with a strong understanding of financial management, ideally within an educational environment. You will demonstrate a detailed knowledge of relevant legislation, government regulations, and statutory requirements affecting schools, and will be able to apply advanced financial principles to support effective decisionmaking.

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with senior leaders and governors are essential. You will be proactive, solutionsfocused, and committed to ensuring that financial and operational management contributes positively to the wider life and success of the school.
