Salary: NJC Grade F SCP 19-24 £32,061- £35,412 per annum

We are looking to appoint a Housing Access and Support Worker to work with vulnerable homeless people to ensure they access appropriate accommodation and housing related support. The post holder will be required to work closely with a range of partner agencies and be part of a team providing an assertive outreach service to people who are rough sleeping or at risk of rough sleeping.

You will have direct experience of delivering a frontline service to homeless and vulnerable households, including those with chaotic lifestyles and complex issues. You will have excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills and an ability to communicate with people at all levels. You will have a dynamic approach in helping people gain permanent accommodation.

With a working knowledge of relevant legislation and the benefit system together with knowledge of the housing options available to vulnerable households in the statutory and third sectors you will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team and will have a flexible approach to working arrangements.
