Salary: Grade 1, £2,795 per annum. £12.85 per hour

5 hours per week term time only working 38 weeks per year

Working Hours: 11:45am 12.45pm, Monday to Friday

The Governors and Senior Leadership Team at St Thomas’s are seeking to appoint a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor to join our friendly school community.

This is a rewarding role where you will play an important part in ensuring our pupils have a safe, happy and positive lunchtime experience.

About the Role:

As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising pupils during the lunch break, both in the dining hall and on the playground. You will help to create a calm, safe and enjoyable environment, supporting children’s wellbeing and encouraging positive behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising pupils in the dining hall and outdoor areas
• Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils socially
• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children
• Assisting younger children with their lunch where needed
• Encouraging good manners and respectful interactions
• Supporting safe and enjoyable play during outdoor time
• Reporting any concerns to staff as appropriate

• Enjoys working with children and is warm and approachable
• Is calm, patient and able to manage behaviour positively
• Is reliable, punctual and a strong team player
• Has a good awareness of safety and safeguarding
• Can use initiative and remain positive in a busy environment
