ASSET COMPLIANCE OFFICER

We are looking for a motivated Asset Compliance Officer to join our dedicated Compliance team, supporting the effective management of housing stock information and investment planning across Blackpool.

About the Role

You will play a key role in managing and maintaining the Asset Management database, ensuring accurate and timely data is available to support investment planning and compliance activities. This includes contributing to the 30-year Capital Programme and delivering analysis to inform short, medium and long-term business decisions.

You will coordinate stock condition surveys, monitor data quality and ensure all updates from repairs, improvements and compliance activities are accurately recorded. You will also produce reports, analysis and recommendations to support senior management, internal teams and external reporting requirements.

All work must comply with relevant legislation, data protection requirements and BCH policies. You will be responsible for maintaining data integrity across multiple systems, supporting colleagues in their use, and ensuring compliance data such as asbestos, fire risk assessments and EPC information is kept up to date.

The role requires effective communication with internal teams, contractors and stakeholders, alongside the ability to carry out site inspections and surveys when required. A proactive approach to continuous improvement and system development is essential.

Flexibility across tasks, combined with a commitment to upholding BCH’s values and delivering excellent service is key.

The Ideal Candidate Must Possess:

·       A minimum of 3 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above

·       An HNC/HND in Building Studies

·       Domestic Energy Assessor qualification

·       Experience of working with databases or asset management systems (ideally within housing or property)

·    Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and produce clear reports and recommendations

·     Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and work collaboratively

·       A good understanding of data protection and the importance of data accuracy and integrity

·   Experience working within Housing Associations or in managing repairs is desirable but not essential.

Additional Requirements

·       A full, current UK driving licence

·       A satisfactory Basic DBS check (formerly CRB)

·       Flexible approach to working arrangements to meet service demands
