About the role:

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding School Business Manager who is highly organised, proactive and skilled, to play a central role in the strategic and operational leadership of the school. This is a key leadership position where you will directly influence the continued success and smooth running of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial management, budgeting, reporting and compliance.
  • Oversee HR processes including recruitment, contracts and staff records.
  • Manage administration systems including attendance, admissions, census and GDPR compliance.
  • Lead on premises, health & safety, site management and contractor oversight.
  • Manage and support external IT provider, catering and cleaning teams.
  • Line manage school admin team, caretaker and lunchtime supervisors.
  • Contribute to strategic leadership and school improvement planning.

About you:

You will bring:

  • Experience in school or senior business/operational management.
  • Strong financial and organisational capability.
  • Knowledge of HR, compliance and safeguarding systems.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
