The headteacher and governors at Nicol Mere Primary are seeking to appoint an effective classroom practitioner who is committed to meeting the needs of our children and who is committed to delivering the aims and vision of our school. At this stage we are searching for a KS1 appointment, with possible flexibility of working in KS2. This is an amazing opportunity to work alongside unbelievable children, a committed staff and a supportive leadership team.

You will need to be:

  • An excellent classroom practitioner with experience of teaching in KS1.

  • Passionate about making a significant difference to the future outcomes of children.
  • have a good understanding of SEND needs and how to adapt their teaching to meet these.
  • An innovative practitioner with a clear understanding of how children learn.
  • Well organised, yet flexible.
  • Hard-working and a good team player who thrives when working collaboratively.
  • Willing to involve yourself fully in the life of the school
  • be committed to safeguarding children’s welfare and keeping them safe.

Interview date:

The interview process will consist of a teaching observation at Nicol Mere Primary Thursday 21st May followed by an interview Friday 22nd May.

All candidates will be required to demonstrate their ability to meet and maintain all Professional Standards for Teachers.
