About Star Central Star Central, which is based at our head office in Blackburn, Lancashire, provides leadership, strategic direction and support to Star Academies and our schools. Who we’re looking for This is an exciting opportunity to join the Star Central Governance team, working as our Trust Governance Manager as you will work closely with many key individuals at the heart of our decision-making process. We are looking for an individual who is an exceptional service leader, with previous governance and line management experience. You will ensure our academy trust and charities comply with statutory and regulatory requirements and that governance meetings are supported with a high level of professional competence. Working closely with the Star Central Executive team, Members and Trustees you will primarily support our trust governance structure by ensuring there is an efficient and continually improved governance support and advice service. This role is key as it helps enable the strategic leaders of the trust to make effective decisions, challenge, and support. You will work as part of an expanding and professional team who will enable you to develop and demonstrate your skills in a supportive environment. This role is an excellent leadership opportunity for someone with a keen interest to progress their career within the academy/corporate governance sector.
