Do you have passion for cooking with fresh ingredients and creating great tasting food? Are you either looking for your next career move or to work term time, with great benefits such as free uniform and a friendly, hardworking team. Then this could be the job you are looking for!

A fantastic opportunity has become available at St. Mary’s CE Primary School for a Catering Assistant to work alongside the Catering Manager.

You will be expected to prepare meals under the guidance of the Catering Manager and in line with the agreed menus. This role will also include ensuring the hall is set up for service and cleaned down at the end of dinner time.

You will need an understanding of food hygiene and a willingness to undergo further training as and when required. Experience in this sort of work and working with children would be an advantage.

You will need to be able to work in a small team and be willing to work with the school team to continue to enhance our dining experience.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and require all staff and volunteers to share and demonstrate this commitment. This will involve child protection training, which must be completed annually or when updates are added.
