Lead Practitioner Early Career Development

Location: Kingsway Park High School, Turf Hill Road, Rochdale, OL16 4XA

Salary: Lead Practitioner Scale LP1 LP6 (£52,026 - £58,857)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: As per notice period

We are seeking an ambitious, inspiring and forward-thinking Lead Practitioner of Early Career Development to provide strategic leadership and expert guidance to support the development of early career and trainee teachers across the school. The role focuses on improving the quality of teaching through high-quality mentoring, coaching, and professional development aligned to the Early Career Framework (ECF) and Initial Teacher Training (ITT) requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out teaching responsibilities in line with the professional duties of a teacher, modelling consistently high-quality classroom practice
  • Demonstrate exemplary teaching and professional practice to support the development of Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and trainee teachers
  • To Ensure all statutory requirements of induction for early career teachers are fulfilled
  • Design and develop high-quality teaching resources and exemplification materials to support early career practice
  • Plan and deliver a structured programme of professional development aligned to the Early Career Framework (ECF) and Initial Teacher Training (ITT) requirements
  • Contribute to whole-school improvement, enrichment and leadership initiatives
  • Play an active role in the wider life of the school community
