We currently have multiple opportunities for Lunchtime Organisers to join our fantastic central team at Orchard House High School.

Orchard House High School, a new and growing special educational needs school which opened in 2025, is seeking to appoint dedicated and caring Lunchtime Organisers to join our central team.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support our pupils during lunchtime, helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive environment where students can enjoy their meals and social time.

As Lunchtime Organiser you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of additional needs, working closely with teaching staff and the wider school community. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervise students in dining areas and around the school
  • Support healthy eating and encourage positive social interactions
  • Assist with a range of lunchtime clubs (e.g. sports, arts, sensory activities)
  • Attend to students’ personal needs, including feeding, hygiene and welfare
  • Respond to minor incidents and seek first aid support where required
  • Help ensure lunchtime is a calm, enjoyable experience for all pupils and staff

We are looking for someone who:
  • Enjoys working with children and young people
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
  • Is patient, flexible and a strong team player
  • Communicates clearly and effectively
  • Is willing to support students’ personal care needs with dignity and respect
  • Experience of working with students with special educational needs is desirable.
