We wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant with experience of supporting children in primary school.

The main duties of this role will involve:

Supporting children in lessons as well as with their medical needs and social and emotional well-being.
Supporting pupils by modelling the learning, working with them in their learning and feeding back to the children on their efforts.
Support the class teacher with classroom and behaviour management. Support the children in taking responsibility, fixing mistakes and feeling good about themselves.
On occasion, step into the class teacher role to cover classes for short, fixed spells with work that has been pre-planned by the teacher.
Work under the guidance of teaching staff, Inclusion Manager and outside agencies in order to implement and evaluate agreed work programmes.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, committed and can show initiative. The successful candidates will be able to communicate effectively with teaching staff, the Inclusion Manager and work efficiently within the Etchells team.
