Vacancy: Non Teaching SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator) across The Honeycomb Education Trust working at Bolshaw Primary School and Mellor Primary School

Salary: Teachers scale M3 UPR3 with associated non-pro rata TLR for the role

Contract Type: Permanent 0.8 FTE (Four days a week)

Start Date: September 2026


DBS Check Required: Yes (enhanced)

Essential Qualifications: Possession of SENDCo award with QTS

The Honeycomb Education Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional, passionate and strategic SENDCo to lead and shape inclusive practice across Bolshaw Primary School and Mellor Primary School.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work across two thriving, values-led primary schools within a collaborative and forward-thinking Trust.

Both schools are committed to ensuring staff are aspirational for young people and families; that they demonstrate respect and are empowered to be successful. We see that inclusion is not an add-on, but at the heart of everything we do.


This role is pivotal to the organisation, working closely with the Director for Inclusion as SENDCo across both schools, you will:

Provide strategic leadership for SEND provision across EYFS to Year 6

Champion a culture of high expectations and inclusive practice

Lead on EHCP processes, Annual Reviews and statutory compliance.

Work closely with families, external agencies and local authority services

Support and coach teachers and support staff to deliver adaptive, high-quality teaching

Contribute to Trust-wide SEND development and improvement priorities

You will also play an important role in supporting school leaders in matters regarding managing medical needs and provision for looked after children as well as act as a deputy designated safeguarding lead alongside other members of the team.


You will work closely with two experienced Headteachers and be part of a strong Trust leadership network committed to professional growth and shared expertise.

Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (or is willing to complete it)

Has a strong track record of improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs

Demonstrates deep knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice

Leads with clarity, compassion and conviction

Builds strong, trusting relationships with families and colleagues

Is solution-focused, organised and resilient

Believes wholeheartedly that every child can flourish
