New Bridge Multi-Academy Trust is a vibrant, aspirational and inclusive multi-academy trust of eight special schools and two specialist post-16 provisions across Oldham, Tameside and Rochdale. As part of the wider New Bridge Group there are also two post-19 provisions. Our settings support a wide spectrum of needs from age 4-19 and beyond. We are at an exciting point in our development, and this role will play a key role in supporting our schools and leaders to deliver high quality education through excellent people management.

We are looking to appoint a highly skilled Communications and Marketing Manager to deliver a strategic, hands-on service that strengthens reputation, engagement and recruitment across the Trust. Acting as the professional lead for communications, marketing and brand, the role will oversee internal and external communications, PR, digital platforms and stakeholder engagement, ensuring all activity reflects Trust values and meets the needs of diverse SEN communities. The postholder will advise senior leaders on reputation and crisis communications, lead content creation and campaigns, manage media and agency relationships, and support pupil and staff recruitment, delivering clear, inclusive and compliant communications across all sites.

We invite applications from individuals with substantial experience, ideally already in the education or public sector.

The successful candidate will have proven experience and skills around the below:

  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in communications, marketing, PR or a related field, with professional qualification (e.g. CIM, CIPR) and ongoing CPD
  • Significant experience in a communications or marketing role, including developing and delivering strategic plans
  • Experience of advising senior leaders and influencing at a strategic level
  • Strong digital expertise, including websites, social media, analytics and digital campaigns
  • Experience managing branding, media relations and PR activity
  • Understanding of accessibility, inclusive communication and working with diverse or vulnerable communities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong judgement and attention to detail
  • Highly organised, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities across a complex organisation
  • Willingness to work flexibly and travel between sites, with a clear commitment to safeguarding, equality, inclusion and confidentiality
