Contract: Permanent Salary: Scale 6 SCP18-22 £31,537 - £33,699 per annum, pro rata for part time Hours: 37 hours or 30 hours per week Closing Date: 25th May 2026 This post is currently only open to employees of Fylde Council Housing Services Technical Officer - Full time/part time (minimum 30 hours per week) Plus Essential Car User Allowance A development and up-skilling opportunity has arisen, advertised internally, for the role of Housing Services Technical Officer within the Housing Service. The successful candidate will be supported to develop into the role and undertake duties required under the Housing Act 2004 and Renters Rights Act 2025. The main purpose of the role is to support the Housing Standards Manager and Senior Housing Technician (Private Sector) to participate in the inspection, enforcement, investigation and administration of private sector housing matters falling within the responsibility of the Housing Services Section under the Housing Act 2004 and Renters Rights Act 2025. The role will manage the Invest to Save scheme, working closely with the Homelessness services to process approved applications for Rent Bond or Rent in Advance funding and undertake inspections to assess accommodation under HHSRS. The role will also be required to process funding received from external partners to set up tenancies. Ideally applicants should have experience of undertaking inspections of accommodation within the private rented sector and/or managing grant funding from external organisations to establish tenancies. We will consider applicants who wish to work part time or full time.
