Contract: Temporary (3 Years) Hours: 37 hours per week Salary: Scale 6 SCP18-22 £31,537 - £33,699 per annum - Plus Essential Car user Allowance Closing Date: 25th May 2026 This role is currently only open to Employees of Fylde Council and is being offered as a secondment opportunity. If you wish to apply for this role on a secondment basis, you must seek your manager’s agreement before formally applying The Housing Team at Fylde are looking to recruit a Housing Services Officer to support a new project to end homelessness in communities. The role is to support third sector organisations to whom households facing homelessness may approach, to encourage engagement with the local authority to access support to prevent or relive homelessness. You will be expected to carry a case load of clients who may be reluctant to engage with the Local Authority in order to accept a Homeless Duty and support them into settled accommodation in a flexible, open ended approach that builds on the links they have already made with third sector organisations they have initially approached. You will need to have experience of supporting clients experiencing multiple disadvantage and be expected make decisions under homeless legislation, working on your own initiative. You need to be a strong team player and contribute to the efficient and effective performance of the wider housing team. You will be expected to provide support for applicants with: · Repeat homelessness/failed tenancies · History of domestic abuse · Diagnosed mental ill health · Chronic health conditions · Involvement with the criminal justice system · Substance Misuse · Leaving supported accommodation If you wish to discuss the position, please contact Kirstine Riding or Jamie Painter on 01253 658658. to view the Job Description.
