Contract Type: Temporary for 12 months (Maternity Cover)

Contract Hours: 37 hours 

Salary: NJC Grade E SCP 12 - 17 £28,598 - £31,022

Blackpool Housing Company is seeking a Projects Development Officer to join our team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of housing regeneration projects across Blackpool.

The Development function at Blackpool Housing Company (BHC) provides a project management service to BHC, Lumen Housing, and Blackpool Council. This service supports the strategic development, management, and delivery of a wide range of transformative, housing-led projects and programmes.

As part of the Development Team, you will support the Head of Strategic Developments in the day to day delivery of the service, from the initial scoping of new project opportunities through to successful completion. The role requires excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships to ensure project outcomes are achieved.

This is a varied and challenging role requiring a high level of organisation, attention to detail, resilience, and the ability to think creatively.

Our ideal candidate will have:

-          A strong commitment to supporting the delivery of complex, housing-led projects

-          Experience in a similar role, ideally within or alongside a Local Authority

-          A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, Bookings, and SharePoint

-          Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and evaluate complex information

-          A results-driven approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
