Lead behaviour support initiatives, promoting positive behaviour and self-regulation skills
Promote a positive, nurturing school culture that prioritises pupil wellbeing, inclusion, and high expectations
Work collaboratively with staff, families, and external agencies to support pupils’ pastoral needs
Develop, implement, and monitor pastoral care programmes that support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
Support pupils in developing resilience, motivation, and positive relationships, as well as promoting pupil voice and involvement in decisions affecting their wellbeing
Work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to support vulnerable pupils
Work as part of the safeguarding team as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL training will be provided as necessary).
Ensure compliance relevant health and safety regulations
Provide guidance, training, and support to staff on pastoral care, behaviour management, and trauma-informed practice, coordinating mental health support and staff training on wellbeing
Engage parents, carers, and external agencies as partners in supporting pupil wellbeing and development
Coordinate multi-agency support and interventions for pupils with complex needs
Maintain accurate records related to pastoral care, behaviour incidents, and interventions
Contribute to the development and review of school policies related to behaviour, safeguarding, and wellbeing
