Grade 4, Scale Point 7-11

Salary £26,403 - £28,142 Full Time Equivalent. Actual salary will be pro rata:

Pro-rata salary: £21,088 - £22,477 approx.

32.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday (8.30am 3.30pm, 30 mins unpaid lunch)

Term time only plus INSET

Permanent contract to start as soon as possible

The Headteacher, Governors and Board of Trustees are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well-motivated Level 3 Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will initially work within the Early Years Unit, predominantly in the Reception Class.


We are looking for someone who:

  • can work with a Class Teacher in order to support teaching and learning.
  • can deliver specific support to raise the attainment of individual children and/or small groups.
  • can work independently to deliver, monitor and evaluate the success of interventions.
  • can enthuse, motivate and engage children in all areas of learning.
  • is committed to high standards and able to assist in planning, preparation and delivery of lessons.
  • can undertake whole class cover during staff absence (arranged or emergency), to ensure that learning opportunities continue and the learning environment is well-managed.
  • can keep detailed notes on progress and attainment.
  • is able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • has excellent communication skills and is committed to building positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
  • has a good level of experience working in primary school settings, ideally within Early Years classes.
  • will be willing to contribute to the broader life of the school community.
