Contract: Permanent Hours: 37 hours per week Salary: Scale 2 SCP2-3 £24,796 - £25,185 per annum Closing Date: 27th May 2026 12.00 Noon This position is currently only open to employees of Fylde Council Join Our Waste Operations Team Fylde Council is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Waste Operations team as Labourers. This is a physically demanding but rewarding frontline role where you’ll play an important part in keeping Fylde clean, safe, and welcoming for residents, businesses, and visitors. You’ll be working outdoors in all weather conditions as part of a tight-knit crew delivering essential services every day. This is a role for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being active, and wants to be part of a team that keeps the borough running. About the Role As a Waste Collection Labourer, you’ll support a range of environmental services including refuse and recycling collections, street cleansing, and beach cleaning. No two days are the same — you’ll be working across different areas, tackling a variety of tasks, and helping maintain high service standards. You’ll also be one of the visible faces of the Council, so a professional and respectful approach when dealing with the public is essential.
