The Governors and Senior Leadership Team at Egerton Community Primary School are seeking to appoint a Caretaker on a permanent basis. The successful candidate should be able to carry out routine maintenance, basic repairs and monitor major works as and when required in the school holidays. Be required to manage the work of contractors on site and monitor services provided externally, such as cleaning and grounds maintenance. The person appointed should have knowledge and skills relating to building maintenance and health and safety. The key skills which we are looking for, are the skills to carry out repairs and minor building works. Commitment and attention to detail is required in order to maintain high standards in our busy school. The successful candidate will need to show initiative and take pride in their work and be flexible. They will also be responsible for ensuring that all school facilities are in excellent and safe condition. The role includes elements of manual work, for example clearing snow, gritting etc and therefore a good level of fitness is essential.
