Newbridge Learning Community School Moss Lane Salary: Grade 7, £26,405 - £29,455 per annum. 35 hours per week, term time plus 1 week working 39 weeks per year Temporary until August 2027 Required for as soon as possible The Headteacher and Governing Body of Newbridge Learning Community are delighted to invite applications for the position of Higher Level Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated, forward-thinking team within a specialist SEMH setting, where we provide a nurturing, inclusive and aspirational environment tailored to meet the complex needs of our pupils. We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated individual who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. The successful candidate will be a proactive and collaborative practitioner who supports pupils both academically and emotionally, and contributes positively to our school community. About the role The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and teaching staff to support high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4. As an HLTA, you will take responsibility for planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals, small groups and, where appropriate, whole classes on a short-term basis. You will support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development, ensuring their individual needs are met in a nurturing and structured environment. The role also includes leading on a specialist curriculum or ‘Options’ subject area, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting the wider work of the school. This post is ideal for colleagues with strong SEMH experience who are confident in leading learning, supporting colleagues, and promoting inclusive education.
