Contract type: Permanent Hours: 37 per week Salary: NJC Grade H1/H2 SCP 27-35 £38,220 - £46,142 per annum Closing Date: Monday 1st June 2026 at 23:59 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to join our dedicated and busy Learning Disability Team in Blackpool. You will work with adults with a diagnosed learning disability and/or autism, supporting them to achieve the best possible outcomes and promoting independence, choice and control. This role places a strong emphasis on strengths based, person centred practice and on supporting carers who provide essential care and support. As part of the role, you will manage a varied caseload and work with individuals utilising a strengths based approach. You will complete safeguarding enquiries, Care Act assessments, reviews and support planning. All assessments and interventions are undertaken in accordance with the Care Act 2014. Applicants must have experience of completing Care Act assessments and supporting people with eligible needs. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team committed to delivering high quality social work practice for people with learning disabilities.
