Salary: Grade 4, £17,763 - £18,625 per annum. £13.26 - £13.90 per hour

30 hours per week, term time plus 1 week working 39 weeks per year

Temporary until August 2027

St Jude’s Catholic Primary School is a friendly, catholic school with a nurturing ethos. We are seeking to appoint a positive, inspirational and self-motivated Level 3 Teaching Assistant who is suitably qualified and experienced.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a sound knowledge of working with young children in an Early Years setting;
  • Have an energetic and creative approach to learning;
  • Provide excellent support for the class teacher and children;
  • Have strong behaviour management skills;
  • Have excellent, inclusive practice including effective questioning techniques and strategies to develop children’s communication and language;
  • Have high expectations for all children and be committed to enabling children to develop their full potential;
  • Have a willingness to work as part of team, with excellent organisational skills, in a fast paced environment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • An approved Early Years level 3 qualification (See DfE criteria);
  • Basic literacy and numeracy qualifications;
  • Hold a certificate in Paediatric First Aid (or be prepared to receive the training).

The opportunity to visit school, meet the staff and have a tour will take place on Tuesday 2nd June at 10.30am (booking is not required).
