We are seeking to recruit a person who will:

  • Act as a responsible adult and assist with the supervision, personal care, welfare and keeping safe of individuals and / or groups of children and their environment, working with teachers and other class staff to plan and deliver activities to support student engagement.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of children with social, communication, and interaction needs.
  • Assist with resources and basic classroom management techniques to support their learning
  • Encourage positive behaviour and aiding the teacher in managing behaviour.
  • Give regular feedback on children’s progress to the class teacher and file records
  • Establish good relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
  • Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment.
  • To be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
