In this role you will also be working with children with special educational needs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality learning activities across the primary age range.
  • Work with individuals and small groups of pupils to reinforce learning and promote progress.
  • Provide targeted support for children with additional learning needs where required.
  • Help maintain a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Assist with classroom preparation, resources, and displays.
  • Encourage pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Support pupils during lessons, breaktimes, educational visits, and school activities.
  • Always promote safeguarding and the wellbeing of all children.

The successful candidate would:

  • Experience of working with children in a primary school setting.
  • A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Fully supports the ethos and aims of the school
  • Be able to adapt and respond appropriately to challenging situations
  • Ensure the wellbeing of the children is always maintained
  • Experience of working with children of relevant age in a learning environment and with pupils with additional social and emotional needs.
