Are you looking for an opportunity to be part of one of the most significant transformation programmes in local government? We are now recruiting to the new Lancashire-wide Programme Development Office (PDO), established to support the delivery of Local Government Reorganisation across Lancashire. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a high-profile, fast-moving programme that will bring together all 15 councils in Lancashire during an exciting period of change.

Hosted by Lancashire County Council, the PDO will work across the county to support strategic planning, programme delivery, governance, analysis, communications and project management. The PDO will operate as a virtual team, hosted by Lancashire County Council, with a team base at County Hall and hybrid working arrangements in place. Your employer will not change if you are successful in securing one of these opportunities. All roles are full-time by default, although part-time working will be considered.

What you need to know before applying

These opportunities are available on a secondment basis, funded from the transition reserve. Before applying, you must have confirmation from your employing council that they are willing to release you for the secondment. Secondments are until March 2028.
