We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant who can build strong, trusting relationships, remain calm under pressure, and deliver high-impact, trauma-informed support. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in helping pupils feel safe, understood, and ready to learn. Working Pattern: Full-time Your working hours are 35 hours 40 mins per week over 5 days, which will be worked between 8:30 am and 4:20 pm, Monday, Tuesday & Thursday, 8:30 am and 5:00pm Wednesday and 8.30am and 2:30 pm Friday Term-time plus 5 training days Key Responsibilities: 1. This job description will be reviewed periodically and may be amended in consultation with the post holder.Essential Desirable 4 GCSE’s including maths & English L4 Experience of SEMH & ASD Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent experience CPD in Team Teach, Zones of Regulation, or NVR Full driving license and fully insured car available for work Experience in special school or AP setting IT literate Familiarity with SCERTS, PECS, or AAC tools Significant experience supporting pupils with SEMH and/or autism Experience contributing to EHCP reviews and documentation Skilled in de-escalation, co-regulation, and trauma-informed practice Skilled in de-escalation, co-regulation, and trauma-informed practice Emotionally resilient and calm under pressure Understanding of sensory processing and communication needs Strong teamwork and communication skills Supporting Documents
