Pay Scale: Grade F Point 17-22, starting at Point 17

Actual annual salary: currently £22,045.25 £23,947.61

Hours: 29 hours a week, term time only, plus 5 days

Flexibility in working days will be required to support the school’s examination timetable

Contract: Permanent

Mossley Hollins High School is seeking to appoint an Examinations Officer. This is a key role in a highly ambitious, oversubscribed school with a strong reputation for academic excellence, staff development and wellbeing.

We are seeking an organised and committed individual to join our Raising Achievement team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the effective planning, organisation and delivery of all internal and external examinations. You will ensure examinations run smoothly and in full compliance with JCQ regulations, creating the best possible environment for students to perform at their best.

Full training and support will be provided. Working alongside experienced staff, you will build specialist knowledge and develop a range of transferable skills.

This pivotal role would suit a candidate who can demonstrate:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
  • The ability to prioritise workload and work calmly under pressure
  • Confidence using IT systems and working with data
  • High levels of accuracy, professionalism and confidentiality
  • Alignment with the school’s values of Manners, Hard Work and Honesty

Mossley Hollins High School is an 11-16 Co-Educational Academy in Tameside, Greater Manchester. The school is currently rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and serves over 900 students. The school is heavily over-subscribed and has an impressive modern building. We are a happy, academically ambitious and inclusive school and we are passionate about learning.
