Post: Education Welfare Officer Salary Range: Grade 6, SCP 23-25, FTE salary £34,434.00 - £36,363.00, pro rata salary £30,422.00 - £32,127.00 Working Type: Full Time [37 hours, 39 weeks] Please note: The post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. Buile Hill's academic performance has seen a remarkable turnaround in just one academic year, with exam outcomes trebling and now above the national averages. While the 2025 performance tables are yet to be officially released, provisional data indicates that Buile Hill was outperformed only by two selective schools in Salford in terms of the percentage of students who pass English and Maths at a Grade 5 or higher placing it third overall on key attainment measures and the highest-performing non-selective school in the borough. Perhaps most significantly, Buile Hill is Salford’s most improved school reflecting the hard work of staff and students, and the transformative impact of support from NET, a nationally recognised multi-academy trust with a strong record of driving rapid improvement in schools. Buile Hill Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Education Welfare Officer to join our team.
