Salary: Grade 05 scp 12-17 Actual Salary £21,462 - £23,281 (£28,598- £31,022 FTE)

Term of Contract: Fixed term 12 months initially

Working pattern: Term Time Only plus 2days

Hours per week: 32.5 hours per week

Start date: 1st September 2026

Closing date: 25th June 2026

Our Lady & St Paul’s Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our nurturing and successful school community. The Role

We are looking for a Level 3 qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant who will:

  • Support the learning and development of children within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging learning experiences.
  • Promote children's social, emotional and physical development.
  • Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Observe, assess and record children's progress.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
  • Support the Catholic ethos and values of the school.

We are seeking an individual who has:

  • Holds a recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • Has experience of working within an EYFS setting.
  • Has a good understanding of child development and the EYFS Framework.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Is enthusiastic, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Will actively support and contribute to the Catholic life of the school.
