Contract Type: Casual

Hours: As and when required

Salary: NJC Grade F £16.61 per hour

Closing date: Thursday 25th June 2026 at 23:59

Do you have a big heart, lots of patience and a passion for helping children to thrive? We're looking for friendly, caring people to join our team supporting children with complex needs. Working with us will mean you are making a real difference to both children and families.  Offering comfort on their tough days and enjoyment throughout their stays, whilst celebrating the wins (big and small). You will be helping children to feel safe, valued and understood.

We are looking to recruit a number of Casual Residential Childcare workers to assist us in providing overnight short breaks for children aged 5-17years. You will work with us to deliver high quality care, emotional support and stability in a warm, nurturing home environment.

You will be working in a residential setting, with an experienced and supportive staff team supporting young people who have specific needs such as autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviors.

You will be employed on an 'as and when' needed basis, that offers a range of hours and shifts over a 24 hour period.  Your shift hours can be anytime between 7 am and 10pm weekdays and weekends.

The right applicant may not necessarily already have a background or experience of working in a children's home but would ideally have experience of supporting children or adults with complex needs. The right applicant will job shadow and develop their skills competency and confidence. There is a requirement to undertake a range of training.

Safeguarding children is our highest priority. Successful applicants will be required to have an enhanced DBS and subscribe to the update service.

At this point in time we are not able to offer a Visa sponsorship in this role due to operational reasons.
