Grade: Grade 6 (SCP 19 24) Contract Type: Permanent Hours: 32.5 Hours Per Week Working Pattern: Term Time Part Time Actual Salary: £24,223 - £26,755 Interview Date: Thursday 2nd July 2026 We have a growing number of children who are considered vulnerable and require additional support with their social, emotional and behavioural needs. Due to the retirement of the current post-holder, we are seeking to appoint a suitably skilled and experienced mentor as a Key Worker in our Additional Needs department (The Hive) to help these children overcome barriers to learning and address their wellbeing needs. Many of the children will have an EHCP or other SEN, and we have an increasing number of children who are part of the care system. The post-holder will be working with these groups of students primarily, alongside colleagues, parents, carers and other agencies. An understanding of PEP documentation would be useful but training can be given. This is a permanent, term-time only, part-time position (32.5 hours per week). It is anticipated that working hours will be 8:00am until 3:30pm Monday to Wednesday, 8:00am until 3:15pm on Thursdays and 8:00am to 2:30pm on Fridays, incorporating 45 minutes’ daily unpaid break, but with some flexibility to meet the needs of the school and students (to be discussed at interview).
