Salary: (Term-Time, Pro-Rated): £18,067 £19,247 (SCP 59)

Full-Time Equivalent Salary: £25,583 £27,254 (SCP 59)

31.25 hours per week, term time, working 38 weeks per year

This is a term-time only position, so you will be paid on a pro-rated basis. This means your salary is calculated based on the hours and weeks worked during term time, rather than the full 52 weeks of the year. Your monthly pay is spread evenly across the year, including school holiday periods.

Holy Family Catholic Academy is looking to appoint a highly-skilled Level 3 Early Years Practitioner from September 2026.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our committed team. This is an exciting opportunity to support children in the early stages of their education and make a real difference in a supportive school environment.

Duties as Level 3 Early Years Practitioner:

  • Support children aged 24 through structured and playbased early years activities
  • Contribute to planning and delivery of ageappropriate learning experiences
  • Support early communication, literacy, numeracy, and physical development
  • Maintain a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment
  • Assist with observations, assessments, and progress notes as required
  • Help with daily routines including settling, toileting, transitions and snack times
  • Work collaboratively with early years colleagues to ensure consistent EYFS practice
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise child welfare
  • Engage in consistent high-quality interactions with children
  • Deliver quality learning and report on the progress and attainment of children in key worker group
  • Provide intimate care to children still in nappies
  • Work closely with other staff members to support children's learning and development, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Liaise with external agencies when necessary to ensure comprehensive support for children.
  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential
  • Early years experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience of delivering WELLCOMM is desirable
  • Paediatric first aid training is essential
  • Warm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Ability to support early communication, playbased learning, and developmental needs
  • Good communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
  • Able to work the required hours, term time only
  • Proactive, reliable, and committed to highquality early years provision
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting child wellbeing
