Your Role

Valley School is an outstanding Primary Special School for pupils with complex needs including physical, sensory, medical needs and autism.

We wish to appoint a caring, patient and kind mid-day assistant who loves working with children. The successful candidate will have a positive approach to work with our pupils who have additional needs (including complex learning disabilities, autism and medical conditions).

About You

Applicants will be committed to developing their own professional skills and knowledge.

You would work as part of a skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team in a happy, welcoming school. Ongoing training is provided within school for all staff. Many of our midday assistants progress to work as teaching assistants.

About Our School

Safeguarding is the most important work we do at Valley School. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check. We carry out online searches.

If you would like to find out more about the role please contact the Headteacher on headteacher@valley.stockport.sch.uk for an informal discussion about the role.
