St. Luke’s C of E Primary School, Morley Street, Bury, BL9 9JQ TEACHING ASSISTANT (LEVEL 3) FOUR POSTS Working Pattern: Term Time Only Working Hours: Part time (32.5hrs) 8:30am to 3:30pm Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Permanent Closing Date: 3:30pm on 29th June 2026 Interview Date: Week Commencing 6th July 2026 Job Description Summary We are looking to appoint four permanent Level 3 Teaching Assistants to work with our team across school to deliver high-quality learning experiences for pupils, including those with SEND. The successful candidate will support individuals and small groups both in and outside the classroom, helping to implement tailored learning programmes and contribute to planning and resource preparation. The roles involve promoting an inclusive, positive learning environment, supporting pupils’ development, independence, and wellbeing, and assisting with personal care where required. You will monitor progress, provide feedback, and help maintain accurate pupil records. Working closely with teachers, you will support lesson delivery, behaviour management, and the use of effective teaching and assessment strategies, including early years frameworks (where applicable) and ICT. These are varied roles that may include supervising classes in the short-term absence of a teacher, supporting extracurricular activities, and contributing to the overall ethos and success of the school.
