We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to support pupils with diverse and complex learning needs. Working under the direction of teaching staff, you will provide in-classroom support, contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, and assist in managing pupils, resources, and classroom activities. You will play a key role in supporting pupils with SEND, including implementing specialist programmes (e.g., speech and language, occupational therapy, and behaviour plans), promoting independence, and encouraging engagement in learning. You will also assist with lesson delivery, monitor progress, and provide feedback to teaching staff. The role includes planning and delivering targeted learning activities for individuals and small groups, supporting behaviour management, and occasionally supervising whole classes during short-term teacher absence. You will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals, contribute to record-keeping and assessment, and support wider school activities such as trips, meetings, and extracurricular provision. This is a varied role requiring strong communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to supporting pupils’ development, wellbeing, and inclusion.
