Salary: Level 2 TA (SCP 3-5)

Based on 31.25 hours per week (FTE £24,796 to £25,583) 38 weeks - £15,262 to £15,746 (5 INSETs)

This is a term-time only position, so you will be paid on a pro-rated basis. This means your salary is calculated based on the hours and weeks worked during term time, rather than the full 52 weeks of the year. Your monthly pay is spread evenly across the year, including school holiday periods.

The Board of Directors of St Joseph Catholic Multi Academy Trust is looking to appoint 4 x Teaching Assistants at Holy Family Catholic Primary Academy from September 2026 to support within class and to support children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

We are seeking to appoint four dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistants to join our committed team. This is an exciting opportunity to support children in the early stages of their education and make a real difference in a supportive school environment.

As a Teaching Assistant at Holy Family Catholic Academy you will:

• Work closely with class teachers to support high-quality teaching and learning Key Stage One and/or Key Stage Two.
• Provide targeted support for individuals and small groups of children, including those with additional learning needs and behavioural needs.
• Help to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where all children can flourish.
• Support the development of children’s communication, language, social and emotional skills.
• Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.
• Promote positive behaviour and uphold the school’s values and mission.

• Has experience of working with young children, and children who have SEND.
• Is patient, caring and passionate about supporting children’s learning development.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Is proactive, flexible and able to use their initiative.
