Hours: 32.5 hours per week - Term Time only

Salary: Grade D, Scale Point 6-11 £25,989 - £28,142 per annum pro-rata (Actual Salary £19,088 - £20,669 per annum)

Start Date: 1st September 2026

The Governing Board of this highly regarded school are looking to appoint a highly motivated and conscientious Level 2 Teaching Assistant with SEN Allowance, to join our hard-working and committed staff team. The role will primarily involve working on a 1-1 basis in Reception with a child with SEND, as well as providing some whole class and small group support for the class teacher. The responsibilities of the role will be subject to change based on the needs of the cohort and other children in school.


The successful candidate will have a positive attitude to all aspects of school life and be able to work as part of a team. It is essential that the successful candidate has experience of working with children with SEND, including ASD and ADHD.


They will have the ability to maintain our high standards and have a firm belief in the potential of all children.

  • Enjoys working as part of a team
  • Has experience of working as a Teaching Assistant and with children with SEND
  • Is well organised and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is highly motivated and a positive outlook, committed to making a valuable contribution to the life of the school
  • Is able to work independently and on their own initiative
  • Will promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
  • Is aware of, and respond appropriately to, individual pupils’ needs
  • Has high expectations of children’s achievement and behaviour
  • Is committed to working in close partnership with parents, governors and the wider community.
  • Has a good understanding of how children learn and how to support this
  • Has confidence in implementing strategies to support the childs learning and development
