We are looking for an individual who is passionate about giving children the very best start to their education and who can support our youngest learners to thrive in a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will share our commitment to high expectations, strong relationships and ensuring that every child develops the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future success.

Our Early Years team is committed to ensuring that children learn all they should through a carefully sequenced curriculum, high-quality interactions and a strong focus on communication, language and early reading. We believe that strong foundations in the early years enable children to flourish throughout their education and beyond.

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Support the learning, development and wellbeing of children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Deliver high-quality learning experiences to individuals, small groups and whole classes under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating environment where every child feels safe, valued and able to succeed.
  • Demonstrate a secure understanding of the EYFS Framework, child development and the importance of learning through play.
  • Promote children's communication and language development through high-quality interactions and purposeful questioning.
  • Observe, assess and record children's learning accurately, contributing to planning and identifying next steps.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and welfare at all times.
  • Support children with a range of needs, including those with SEND, adapting provision appropriately to meet individual needs.
  • Create engaging learning opportunities both indoors and outdoors that foster curiosity, creativity, independence and a love of learning.
  • Use initiative and work independently whilst contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with all members of the school community.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and uphold the school's values and ethos.

In return, we can offer:

  • The opportunity to join a welcoming, supportive and high-performing team.
  • Access to high-quality professional development and collaborative networks.
  • A school where staff wellbeing is valued and prioritised.
  • Enthusiastic, curious and happy children who enjoy learning.
  • A diverse, vibrant and supportive school community.
  • Access to 1:1 digital technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • A well-resourced Early Years environment that places children's development, wellbeing and achievement at its heart.
