Salary: Grade 4, £22,020 - £23,088 per annum. £13.26 - £13.90 per hour

37 hours per week, term time plus 6 weeks, working 44 weeks per year

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is a one and half form entry school with based in the town centre of Leigh. We are an integral part of the local community and are very family orientated with a strong Catholic ethos. We are extremely proud of all that goes on here. We are seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to ensure the security, safety and effective maintenance of our school premises. You will be working as part of a team to support a caretaker from a joining school Leigh Central Primary School and working across the whole site.

The postholder will act as a designated keyholder, maintain site security, carry out routine and reactive maintenance, operate heating and lighting systems, and organise porterage and site support as required. The role includes maintaining accurate records of statutory health and safety checks, supervising contractors when necessary, and ensuring cleaning, housekeeping and grounds are maintained to an appropriate standard.

The successful candidate will work flexibly, respond to emergencies when required, and comply fully with safeguarding, health and safety, security and confidentiality procedures.

Working hours are:

2 weeks working 5.45am 1.45pm

2 weeks working 11am 7pm

With a ½ hour earlier finish on a Friday

Term-time with 6 weeks during the school holidays spread across the year.
