As a Resourcing Coordinator, you will play a vital role in making sure every person applying to work at DCMS has a brilliant experience. Job description

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting our hiring managers: helping create the necessary documents for shortlisting and interviews, and tracking vacancies to keep things moving smoothly.
  • Managing our team mailbox: answering questions from candidates and internal teams clearly, accurately, and with a helpful attitude.
  • Welcoming new starters: coordinating pre-employment checks and the first stages of onboarding to ensure a great welcome for new colleagues.
  • System tracking: keeping our internal recruitment systems and tracking spreadsheets updated accurately (we will fully train you on how to use these).
  • Continuous improvement: getting involved in team projects focused on making our hiring processes even better.

Person specification

Essential requirements:

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to convey information clearly and build positive working relationships with a wide range of colleagues and external partners.
  • Ability to use sound judgement to resolve standard queries, with a clear understanding of when to handle a situation independently or seek guidance from a manager.
  • Good administrative skills, with a strong eye for detail and accuracy when maintaining records, trackers, or databases.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and the ability to work collaboratively with others to identify and suggest improvements to processes or services.

These skills could have been gained in any setting, for example through university, retail, volunteering, or prior experience within a resourcing/ HR role.
